         Board of Secondary Education has released short notification for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test OTET 2025 Apply Date. Online Application starts from 12 November 2025 and closes on 25 November 2025.

 What is OTET  2025  ?

         Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test OTET is conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. Online applications are invited in this regard from eligible candidates. Candidates who have cleared their Class XII or Graduation with minimum qualifying marks are eligible to appear for the OTET exam. 

           The OTET is conducted for two papers Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates can appear for Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both papers as per their eligibility.

Educational Qualification OTET 2025 Apply Date

OTET Qualification for Paper-1

1.12th pass with 50% with two year Diploma in Elementary education (CT or D.El.Ed)

2. 12th pass with 45% with two year Diploma in elementary education in accordance with NCTE

3. 12th pass with 50% with four year B.El.Ed

4. 12th pass with 50% with two year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

5. Graduation with Diploma in elementary education/B.Ed. in accordance with NCTE


OTET Qualification For Paper-2

1.Graduation with 50% + 01-year B.Ed.

2.Graduation with two year Diploma in Elementary Education

3.Graduation with 45% marks and one year B.Ed. in accordance with NCTE

4.Graduation with 50% with 1 year B. Ed (Special Education)

5.12th pass with minimum 50% with four year B.El.Ed

6.12th pass with 50% marks with four year B.A./ B.Sc., Ed or B.A. Ed.

Examination Date

The examination will be conducted on 17 December 2025.with following schedule :-

1. Paper- I : 9.00 AM to 11.30 AM

2. Paper-II : 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM

Exam Pattern

The are three Papers in Written Exam.

1. Paper I : comprising of 150 MCQs and Duration - 2.30 Hrs

2. Paper II : Compulsory 90 Qns

3. Optional : Mathematics/Science or Social Studies

How to Apply for OTET 2025 Apply Date

There are three stages for online submission of application.

C. Photograph & Signature Scan and Upload

A. Application Registration : Candidates must go through this detailed advertisement very carefully and check their eligibility before proceeding to apply ONLINE for the position.

2. Candidates are required to have a valid personal Email ID and Mobile Number for registration. Click on the link " CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application by entering the basic information.

3. Candidates are advised to carefully fill in the online application themselves as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible/ entertained.

B. Payment of Application Fee :

1.Pay the application fees through online mode Only.

2.. Payment can be made by using Debit Cards (Rupay/Vias/Master Card/Maestro), Credit Cards or Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash cards/Mobile Wallets.

3. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated. Take a print out of it for future reference.

C. Photograph and Signature Upload :

1. Upload the photgraph and signature of required dimension and size as per the Advertisement.

2. Follow the Do's and Don'ts before uploading the same.

3. Follow the procedures laid down in the advertisement for uploading the scanned copy of the documents.

4. Finally submit the application form.
